  1. The thing that worries me is that there is absolutely zero accountability. The minister who was responsible should be sacked they said, will there be any consequences for those responsible, any at all? I really doubt it. The BBC gets mentioned here. The BBC has a charter, the tenets of said charter are consistently ignored by the BBC, they lie continually and fail to cover important news stories that don’t suit their agenda. They are not supposed to have an agenda, they have a duty to be impartial, it’s in their charter.

What can be done? I don’t know, I really wish that I did.

  2. I realise that I didn’t quite finish my point about the BBC which again was the lack of accountability, they ignore their charter and no one gets into any trouble over it.

  3. This issue has been covered at Samizdata too. The idea seems to have been to stamp on those evil people who were doing terrible harm by spreading false information and leading the ignorant plebs away from the officially approved holy truth. My comment was that, now that it has turned out that their original targets were actually right all along, they will now be going after the actual liars and spreaders of false information, the MSM and the Government. I’m not holding my breath.
