Sounds Fair

Behave like an arsehole, get the treatment accordingly.

A spokesperson for the group said campaigners were left “covered in excrement” after one event attender allegedly used a sprayer to blast manure at them.

The people attending this event had every right to do so without being harassed by these people. Activists of all stripes have gone way beyond what most reasonable people would call reasonable protest. So sooner or later, someone, somewhere, will strike back and this is what has happened. It was a private function and they were gate-crashing. They got a face full of manure.

Oh dear, how sad, never mind.

  1. Hahaha, excellent. I would suggest that this is partly a result of us now having a politically partisan police force. They only enforce the law when it suits them, spraying the offenders with cack is much more direct.

  2. I cannot resist……..

    I’m so sorry…….

    Sounds like bullshit to me.

    Ba boom, tish.

  3. The silent majority who go to work and just try to live their lives in a decent way want to be left alone.
When the quiet men have finally had enough those who have pushed them to breaking point might not enjoy what they have awakened.

    • It was not part of their blood, It came to them very late, With long arrears to make good, When the Saxon began to hate.

They were not easily moved, They were icy — willing to wait Till every count should be proved, Ere the Saxon began to hate.

Their voices were even and low. Their eyes were level and straight. There was neither sign nor show When the Saxon began to hate.

It was not preached to the crowd. It was not taught by the state. No man spoke it aloud When the Saxon began to hate.

It was not suddently bred. It will not swiftly abate. Through the chilled years ahead, When Time shall count from the date That the Saxon began to hate

  4. Slurry sprayed I assume, not manure

As Altoban says “Sounds like bullshit to me”

Why would a conference participant bring a sprayer full of slurry?

Why no photos/video? If it happened event was staged by the protesters and fake slurry sprayed by one of them – eg porridge, weetabix & soy sauce

  5. Weren’t some activists spraying stuff over the Treasury building a couple of years ago? If this isn’t a false flag operation then Sauce Goose Gander springs to mind.

  6. The “Wonderful atmosphere” quote had me chortling. Besides, meat eaters don’t generally disrupt vegetarian restaurants or venues, they just don’t go to them.

Why can’t these ‘activists’ who seem very well funded and organised, simply get on with their own meat-free lives and leave the rest of us alone? Life would be so much better without them.

  7. I think that Bill’s point should apply more generally and not just to vegetarians. There seems to be too many people who want to poke their noses into everyone else’s lives. Sort if related, Uncle Ben has been disappeared, presumably for fear of the offendatrons. My packs of lazy rice used to have a picture of a cheery looking black guy on them. Now he’s gone and the rice has been rebranded as Ben’s rice. Black people matter but Mars Foods don’t want to admit that they exist in case they are accused of being racist.

  8. “Why would a conference participant bring a sprayer full of slurry?”

The participants are farmers, livestock farmers in fact as it was a beef event, so all have access to animal shit and the means to spread it. And the event was being held at a livestock market in a rural area on the edge of Darlington. Chances are that either one of the conference attendees was local, or someone knew someone else who was local that they could easily borrow a tractor and a full slurry tanker from.
