The Mask Slips

Sometimes, you have friends who aren’t really friends at all. This can go on for years before something brings it to light.

I recently had to tell a friend, who has chosen not to get vaccinated, that he is no longer welcome to a small social gathering I’ve organised next week.

As I explained, that’s because recent studies suggest an unvaccinated person is up to 20 times more likely to infect you than someone who is vaccinated — and none of the rest of the people who have been invited to my party wants to risk getting infected and passing it on to more vulnerable, elderly relatives. It was a tricky conversation.

What an arsehole. I do know that I wouldn’t want to be a friend with Dr Michael Mosley. This person is better off without him, frankly. I suppose this panic that we’ve had this past couple of years has brought the shitstains out of the closet so that we can see them for what they are. And, of course, we can now shun them.

  1. The reasoning is so flawed it’s hard to know where to begin. Suffice it to say I think most are thoroughly pissed off at the twin apotheosis of medics and scientists whose record throughout the crisis has been dismal in the extreme.

But to me, the longer term agenda seems clear- fear and suspicion are powerful weapons in any war. From the Chinese perspective ‘Michael Mosley’ is doing exactly what they want him to.no doubt his ‘social credit score’ will reflect his ‘good work’

    • Frankly, if he was my friend and behaved like that to me, I’d be telling him never to contact me again and never to darken my door as long as he lives.

And, yes, the reasoning is incredibly stupid. If the vaccine works, then it doesn’t matter. If it doesn’t, then it doesn’t matter.

  2. The vaccine doesn’t work. They know it as well as we do but they can’t give up the only strategy they could think of. How can they tell us to boost against omicron when they have no idea whether it works? Why do they suppress all alternatives or any expression of doubt about their position?

  3. I for one can see silver linings from the events of the last 5 years, starting with Brexit, running through Trump and into Covid. All these have made certain things very clear about society as a whole, and the individuals within it. It has laid very clear who are the authoritarian wannabee dictator c*nts, about who exactly runs things, what the Deep State really thinks about us proles, about how thin the veneer of ‘democracy’ and ‘civilisation’ really is. No-one can now have any misgivings about how the world works, the events of the last 5 years have ripped the curtains away, and exposed the reality for all to see.

  4. Doublethink
Stating that the vaccine doesn’t work (so Omicron is a threat), and yet simultaneously shunning those who agree with you the vaccine doesn’t work.

There is a virulent epidemic of mental stupidity.

  5. The comments on the link as usual, say it all. The likes/dislikes on these comments scream it from the rooftops.

Weekly trip to Asda yesterday, exactly the same as the earlier one to sainsbury’s. Four other people without masks this time but again, absolutely no reaction whatsoever.

The six foot separation seems to have totally died though (quite a while ago). Wonder what the take up of this booster actually is?

As for mini mengele will he be at the door sorting people with “left” , “right”? Probably not, as I strongly suspect this is just a made up puff piece.

  6. One thing that is puzzling us at work. Until I mentioned it no one had thought about it. Who are all these people getting tested, creating the figures for the government. I work in care, I’m tested weekly Pcr test and twice a week lateral flow test. If someone has covid at work then 2 x weekly Pcr tests and one every day for 7 days Lfts. Schools are being tested, those travelling abroad hospitals as well but who else. When we thought about it, most have friends & relatives who have never had a test. So how can the figures be correct. The symptoms if you’ve been jabbed are so slight, a person might be going around infecting people without realising it.
This could be why it is spreading still. Perhaps before the dinner party all guests should take tests. Be safer than just excluding those unvaccinated guests.
Our boss who is quick to yell at us about what we should do has caught it twice. Seems to attack his family whereas others are going unaffected.Still getting grief even with jabs.
At least when he’s off isolating he isn’t bugging us.
