Attention seeking behaviour.

Jailed Insulate Britain protester Emma Smart has been moved to the hospital wing of HMP Bronzefield after going on hunger strike for 13 days.

The climate group said in a statement released on Monday morning that the 44-year-old, from Weymouth in Dorset, was moved out of her cell at the Surrey prison after staff became “increasingly concerned about her health”.

Of course, the prison authorities have a duty of care. I, however, have no such concerns. Her life and health are in her own hands. I care not whether she lives or dies. If the latter, at least she won’t be blocking our roads any time soon. That I take this attitude is entirely down to how Insulate Britain and its useful idiots have behaved.

  1. “In political jargon, a useful idiot is a derogatory term for a person perceived as propagandizing for a cause without fully comprehending the cause’s goals, and who is cynically used by the cause’s leaders.”

  2. She’s probably using the time in chokey to shed a few kilos. While gobbling a huge helping of Virtue Signalling with a side order of Self Publicising.

    • Based on her pictures, she’s been loading on calories, and can probably survive on her fat reserves for a lot longer than a couple of weeks.

  3. On balance, the world would probably be a better place without her. From her perspective, lower emissions. For motorists less disruption, and for the rational amongst us, slightly less insufferable, ignorant sanctimony.

  4. I think that it is tragic that someone should believe so passionately in something when they obviously so completely misguided. Charles Bradlaugh was prepared to go to prison for bringing information about contraception to the masses. This person believes passionately that our government’s batshit crazy energy policies aren’t insane enough.
