Is This a Problem?

Covid tests that gave the wrong result.

People who got a negative result from a Covid testing site in Berkshire earlier this month are being told to book another test, amid fears they were mistakenly given the all-clear.

And then what? Did they get sick? If not, what’s the problem?

But some other people in south-west England are thought to be affected too.

Again, did they get sick? If not, what’s the problem? If we stop testing then the problem goes away. Some people will catch it and get sick. Then we will know they have got it. If they aren’t sick, then they haven’t. We don’t test people for seasonal flu. We know if they’ve got it because they go to bed and call in sick. Positive tests are meaningless. They are simply the means by which the fear has been ramped up.

GPs said they were seeing a stream of patients who had received positive lateral flow tests, who then went on to receive negative PCR results.

Are they sick? If not, there isn’t a problem.

  1. If they were treating patients who test positive with hcq and azythromycin or ivermectin or other treatments that work, then tests would indeed be useful.

Since they just tell you to go home and call them when it’s too late, tests are indeed meaningless.

  2. 2019:
Potential patient: “I was standing next to a man at work yesterday and today he’s called in sick with ‘flu. Can you give me a test to see if I have ‘flu?”
Doctor/NHS: “If you feel ill, call me. Until then, don’t be so bloody stupid.”
    2020/21/22/etc:
Doctor/NHS: “You were within 2 metres of somebody who might have the coronavirus. You need to take a test and you are under house arrest for the next two weeks.”

    The world’s gone mad.

  3. Is the problem that actual cases have dwindled to a trickle so lots of testing is required to keep the numbers up?

  4. I thought that this was good, from the US based Knuckle Dragging My Life Away blog.

    Fuck off, nobody asked you.

The government’s top infectious diseases expert says families can feel safe trick-or-treating outdoors this year for Halloween as COVID-19 cases in the U.S. decline, especially for those who are vaccinated.

Dr. Anthony Fauci told CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday that it’s an important time of year for children, so “go out there” and “enjoy it.”

  5. Ever heard of “Carriers” – or even “silent carriers”?
People who have $_Disease in very mild form, but who can infect others?
THAT is what the problem is really about – IDIOTS
