Keir Starmer.

Sir Keir Starmer today said a Labour MP was wrong to say that ‘only women have a cervix’.

Rosie Duffield, the MP for Canterbury, has opted to stay away from the Labour Party‘s annual conference in Brighton amid online threats from trans activists who view her remarks as discriminatory.

Sir Keir said this morning that ‘it is something that shouldn’t be said’ and ‘it is not right’.

The Labour leader said there needed to be a ‘mature, respectful debate about trans rights’ at the conference.

I would suggest a basic understanding of biology would be more important. The man is in the grip of toxic identity politics and has no place being elected to the highest office in the land – not least given that he has demonstrated rank incompetence in his previous roles.

And Rosie Duffield was objectively correct in her statement.

As an aside, people who are employed in productive work have to demonstrate competence to carry out their roles. In the case of politicians all that is needed is the ability to convince enough gullible people to vote for them, whereupon they enjoy a sinecure at our expense and set about stealing our money and reducing our liberties.

Hang them. Hang them all.

  1. Fahrenheit211 has covered this story and I commented:

All I can think of is the scene from Life of Brian when a guy called Stan announces that he wants to be called Loretta and have babies.
    Reg: You can’t have babies.
    Stan: Don’t you oppress me.
Reg: I’m not oppressing you stan, you haven’t got a womb, where’s the fetus going to gestate, are you going to keep it in a box?

In the end it is decided that they will fight the oppressors for his right to have babies because it is symbolic of our struggle against oppression. Reg’s parting shot is that it’s symbolic of his struggle against reality.

    Fahrenheit211 replied:
The first time with Life of Brian the trans lunacy was a joke, sadly as we’ve seen from Starmer’s unwillingness to say that only women have a cervix it is being repeated as political tragedy.

  2. Starmer is a cunt without in any way knowing anything about cunts or how they work! Thats practically Zen

  3. Its been amusing watching the former darlings of the Left have the scales drop from their eyes as they realise that the Left never cared for them, they were just using them, as they use all their favoured social groupings. First the working classes finally realised the Left had been banking their votes for decades while actively working against working class interests, then gays started to notice that the Left were increasingly more interested in the votes of those religious types who like to throw gays off buildings, many immigrant groups are realising that the Left don’t care for them either (non-Muslim Asians are noticing that Muslims and Blacks are the favoured immigrant groups, as having a culture of stable families, hard work and getting on in life is derided as white supremacy) and now women are getting the memo that the Left don’t want them either, preferring Big Ron in a dress.

The big question is this – why are the Left actively p*ssing off increasingly large percentages of the available vote? The working class is still a significant voting bloc, woman are literally half the electorate, and gays and lesbians must outnumber trans voters 10 to 1. Its hardly a winning strategy to focus your appeal on tiny niches within the electorate.

  4. Firstly can I say I’m totally bored of this whole so-called debate. No-one is listening to each other, just scoring points. I disagree that Rosie Duffield is “objectively correct” .. the problem is the qualifier “only”. If one solitary example of a person with a cervix who is not a woman can be shown to exist, the statement is false. Even leaving transgender men aside, there are intersex people who have cervices. And some of these people will not self-describe as “women” and if we can agree on nothing else, we should agree that intersex people should have the right to self-interpret their personally unique biological state.

So in short, Starmer was being drawn into a trap and should have had enough sense not to fall into it. And in the wider view, it hurts no-one if some people with cervices do not live and move in the world as “women” and there is no reason to feel threatened by this news.

    • Ah, yes, someone always has to drag intersex people into this debate as if it’s a gotcha. No, it isn’t. They are so rare, that the issue is irrelevant. And transmen are biological women. This, as is Duffield’s comment objectively correct.

No one is suggesting otherwise. However, I will resist the twisting of language and demands by a tiny minority of narcissists to deny basic biology.

      • I’m always nervous about mentioning intersex issues in this sort of context, and up to a point it is fair for you to pull me up on it. But nevertheless I don’t think I’ve said anything inaccurate in this regard. Certainly not interested in twisting language, and I agree that “women have a cervix” is an accurate statement as it applies to the great majority of women. I just disagree with the qualifier “only”. Either way, of course Rosie Duffield has the right to say it, without being threatened by likely anonymous cowards or anyone else.

        • You might not be interested in twisting language but the activists enabled by the useful idiots in the corporate world are. The word “woman” is under attack. Likewise, their desire to label the rest of us with their risible cisgender claptrap.

  5. My old anatomy text book. Female reproductive system. The cervix is clearly labelled. There is none in the male reproductive system. I passed my exams. If I had written that a cervix is not only found in women it would be an F-

    • Yup. This. Homo sapiens is a sexually dimorphic species and the cervix is a part of the female reproductive system just as the prostate is only found in males. I am more than happy for people to identify how they choose, but the moment they try to force me to deny reality or to go along with the pronouns bullshit, we have a problem.
