Idiocy

The Indy has a story about the state of the NHS.

Staff shortages have forced one of England’s largest NHS trusts to start rationing chemotherapy to some of its cancer patients.

Well, yes, but this has been creaking for an awful long time now. What we are seeing is the end game of a bad idea that was brought about seventy years ago.

What interests me – in a slightly morbid fashion – is the comments below the piece. The level of idiocy out there is a wonder to behold.

Should ration any treatment to brexit tory voting spooners just prescribe an extra pint of slops free at any spoons dispensary

That this person is not only hard of thinking but also nasty, spiteful and childish is fairly clear to see.  And there’s more.

The crazy clown received personal care from two nurses (forinners people the ones the nice Brexit people rather see the back of) when he got infected due to his own mronsity. Thanks to the nasties people who got ill trhu no fault of their own are left to die. Truly a country to be proud of.

All I’ll say on that is that the remainer propaganda has gone deep into the psyche of these people and they believe in their clown world never letting facts,  or reality bite too hard – hence this idiot’s strawman. The NHS was always a bad idea. That has now come home to roost. It has bugger all to do with Brexit and everything to do with the people who thought it a good idea and implemented it and every government since then that has poured good money after bad into it for no good result.

If the Internet has taught us anything at all, it is that there are an awful lot of people out there who aren’t very bright – and they get to vote.

  1. “Should ration any treatment to brexit tory voting spooners just prescribe an extra pint of slops free at any spoons dispensary.”

I actually have no idea what any of this means.

  2. I find it even more worrying to see the number of ‘thumbs up’ for the 2 moronic comments which you quote.

  3. The NHS nearly collapsed within five years of being established. It was only because the post-war Churchill government introduced charges for prescriptions, spectacles, and false teeth – to howls of outrage from the Labour Party (they hadn’t discovered the word “privatisation” yet, but nothing changes) – that it was saved. If they’d known that Labour was going to have us begging to the IMF anyway by the late ’70s, they might have considered letting it bankrupt us, just to show what happens.

  4. Someone on another blog remarked that no one born after 5th July 1924 has ever voted for the NHS.
And regarding the nasty comments mentioned, it is always the the liberals, the ‘progressives’ the nice people, those who care, who quickly resort to abuse if anyone dare disagree with them…..

  5. p.s. NHS bloke on the Toady programme asking for more money to cope with the backlog of 7 million ops / treatments not carried out due to government incompetence covid: “we need more money”.
WTF happened to all the money they have saved by not doing those ops?
