I had a phone call from “BT Openreach” yesterday. Often I string them along to keep them busy as a public service: while they’re talking to me they can’t be taking advantage of some poor sod, but yesterday I couldn’t be bothered.
“Hello, this is David from BT Openreach about your internet connection.” (Yeah, right, David is such a common name in the subcontinent.)
“You know I know this is a scam, don’t you?”
“So give me your money.”

I got home to find a handwritten letter from one of the Jehovah’s Witness mob, claiming to be “A Neighbour”, and saying how sorry he was to have missed me. The letter was stamped & posted, but wouldn’t someone claiming to live nearby simply walk back and push it through the letter box? These bastards are either 1) getting desperate, or 2) completely stupid.
