In A Time of Universal Deceit

Telling the truth is a subversive act.

A student who said women were born with female genitals and claimed the difference in physical strength between men and women ‘was a fact’ is facing disciplinary action by her university.

Lisa Keogh, 29, who studies law at Abertay University in Dundee was reported to university chiefs by her classmates after she said that women were not as physically strong as men.

The mature student, who is in her final year, is now facing a formal investigation by the university for the ‘offensive’ and ‘discriminatory’ comments.

She did not claim it was a fact in scare quotes. It is a fact. It is an objective truth. Yet here we are pandering to the vocal minority and their shrill screeching as the witch is hunted down for daring to say what most reasonable, rational people recognise as the truth.

Let’s be clear here – men are not women. There are biological differences not confined to genitals. Muscle density and physical strength are clearly observable differences along with secondary sexual characteristics. Then there’s those pesky chromosomes and child bearing hips. Homo sapiens is a sexually dimorphic species. That is biology. That is an objective fact. There are differences between the sexes and no amount of censure or censorship will alter what we know to be true. These things are now deemed to be hate speech warranting censure. Truly, George Orwell was a visionary. He may have got the date wrong, but here we are in Winston’s dystopia.

  1. I’m left wondering what the point of this kind of insanity is. Why are there people in authority, who certainly should know better, in on it? If Lisa is studying law, and she is going to have to face some kind of hearing, she should make sure that she is well prepared and is totally contemptuous and scathing about her accusers. She is being censured for living in reality land by a bunch of people who are totally away with the fairies.

  2. In telling the truth, has she not broken Scotland’s new draconian hate crime law?

  3. Why is it a hate crime? If I make a statement it doesn’t mean that I hate anyone who thinks otherwise, It just means that I disagree with them. Being an adult means that I am capable of disagreeing with someone without hating them for disagreeing with me. Maybe the problem is that the woke types are projecting their own juvenile mindset onto everyone else.

  4. Stonyground. Because under the law as it is now there can be a ‘hate’ crime or a non-criminal hate incident if someone takes offence at something you say without any hate. That something could be what you and I would regard as an objective fact. Yes of course it’s ridiculous to the point of insanity but that is where we are.

    • The insanity is the point.

Emasculated liars are easier to control than righteous truth tellers.

Hate crimes exist to make you weak and hateful.

Jokes on them, the Weimar Republic had hate crime too…
