The State of the Nation

This is what we have become.

Piers Morgan has joined social media users in mocking Ian Brown for sharing anti-vaccination tweets.

Piers Morgan has become something of a barometer these days. If he approves, it’s likely to be idiotic or authoritarian. And this is no change from his predictable norm.

Brown posted about the coronavirus vaccine again on Friday (26 February) night, writing: “I will NEVER sing to a crowd who must be vaccinated as a condition of attendance. NEVER EVER!”

Okay, I’ve not been following this person, so I don’t know if he is opposed to vaccination as a principle or is opposed to this vaccine or simply opposed to the use of coercion. I suspect that half-wit Morgan doesn’t either, because like his fellow half-wits on Twatter, anyone who dares to challenge the narrative is automatically labelled a denier, an anti-vaxxer or a conspiracy theorist. The lack of intellect on display from these clapping sea-lions is depressing.

“That’s up to Butlins, surely?” one commenter replied, with the tweet being liked nearly 10,000 times.

It was reshared by Morgan, who is a vocal supporter of the vaccination programme, with hand-clapping emojis.

See what I mean? The sheer idiocy on display is staggering. Self-righteous, virtue signalling morons. Brown can choose not to gig with a venue that insists on such measures. That might bring with it a cost – it all depends on how deep rooted his principles are – but his position is sound. No one should be coerced into having a vaccine and as I have already mentioned, it makes no difference to those who have been vaccinated. But these lackwits don’t do logic, reason or evidence.

But, you know, virtue signalling on Twatter makes the hard of thinking feel good about themselves.

  1. I can understand that people have reservations about these vaccines. It is a valid point of view to be concerned about the long term effects of these as they are new and were developed on a pretty short timescale. I tried to do as much research as I could and tried to make an informed decision, so I have had the vaccination. I absolutely respect other people’s choice if they decide not to have it. I did think that, even if they were only partly effective, there would at least be a reduction in cases which would lead to life returning to something like normal. This now seems to be absurdly optimistic as the government are keeping their new mutations and ‘it’s only partly effective’ warmed up on the sidelines just in case.

    • It’s likely to be similar to the flu vaccine regarding effectiveness.

What really grinds my gears is intellectual vacuums such as Morgan labelling perfectly reasonable concerns as antivax.

      • Ummm.. remind me again, who was the editor of the News of the World when a murdered teenage girl’s phone was hacked by that gutter rag? The world needs reminding how low the bar really is on Morgan’s morality.

If he’s such a big supporter of the vax, he can have mine. Nasty little hypocrite.

  2. I have loved the Stone Roses since I was 13. Ian Brown is a man of conscience and I’ve not always agreed with him…but if he says he won’t play a “Vaccine Passport” gig you’d better believe him. Piers Morgan should be hung alongside that Begum creature

    • @Phil B
Having reviewed the CDC document you link to, I cannot see a suggestion of a ‘high mortality rate caused by the vaccine’; indeed, if you refer to the final summary, they state the opposite. Happy to be corrected if I have missed something (could you refer to relevant sections?)

  3. I refuse to be lectured on what is right and wrong by a pompous cunt who invented lies about the British Army to get a cheap headline when he ran the Daily Mirror.

Can’t we find a way to extradite Morgan to that camp in Syria where Shamima Begum is being kept, as a kind of public service?

  4. The problem with Moron is that the public love him – GMB viewing figures have gone up, so why would ITV get rid of him? Stop watching the c*nt then we might see less of him.

    • Are you sure? Reports I’ve seen say viewing numbers go up when Piers Moron and/or Dr Hillary Death are not on GMB. Hence GMB ‘suspending’ Piers late last year

Similar when Eamon & Ruth filled in for Mz Fatty “Box-Ticking” Useless – viewers up
