Wear two masks…

As additional variants of Covid-19 make their way around the globe, Dr Anthony Fauci has suggested that wearing two masks may increase protection against the virus.

Why not three? Or four? Why stop there? Just keep going until you stop breathing. That would be an absolute protection against the scary virus after all.

Truly, the world is insane.

This is what you need to know…

I’d suggest that it makes it easier to spot the idiots.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which recommends that people wear masks that have “two or more layers of washable, breathable fabric,” face masks can block up to 70 per cent of coronavirus particles.

Really? Where is the evidence for this? Or is it, like everything Covid, just made-up nonsense from the local witch doctor?

However, double-masking may also make it harder to breathe, which could ultimately lead to individuals pulling down their masks and defeating the purpose entirely.

Whodathunkit? FFS! That this is even a story shows just how low we have sunk.

  1. Wearing two masks can he a good idea, especially if you put a piece of plastic food wrapping between them. You can then be sure the virus will not get through. I may suggest this to PHE.

  3. The same level of stupid as the announcement after landing that one should social distance in the plane whilst disembarking. We’ve just spent hours crammed in the cabin, wearing those stupid masks but now we have to social distance?!? Its largely ignored, if only for practical purposes.

    The stupid is everywhere.

    As for masks stopping 100nm size particles…

    Well, considering I’ve seen people driving around, with masks on.

    With no-one else in the car…

    Though I suppose all the bus-drivers I’ve seen driving around without masks on more than make up for it.

    This latter observation, much like when you could eat in places that also did take outs, seems to rely on “the longer you’re there potentially exhaling the lurgy, the less requirement there is for you to wear a mask in the first place” principle.

    Oh, they are already easy to spot. They are the ones wearing them walking to the shops or the station in the fresh air. Or driving around in their cars wearing them.

    • Or, as I saw before the schools broke up for the Christmas holiday,the family of idiots going into my child’s school all wearing masks, including their three year old girl. I saw that and thought ‘the idiocracy is here’. We on the other hand do our best to make sure that our son dose not see either of us in masks in order not to frighten him or normalise mask wearing. Or the former friends who believe that we are living in the middle of the repeat of the Black Death because they get all their ‘news’ from the BBC. Then there’s the friend of a friend who can not longer trust someone he’s known for decades because that person became a covid grass. There are a lot of idiots out there.

    • If you are worried about facial recognition cameras wear a mask.
      No occifer it were not I driving our shared car on that occasion.
      A bit of mud or snow on the registration plate helps as well.

  9. I have heard on good authority that those wearing masks on their own in cars have found it is the only way they can control their urge to lick the windows.

  10. Get creative with the mask garbage, make a massive papier mache head with the kids. Or get a Teddy bear head on.
