In the Darkness, A Glimmer

A glimmer of hope. That the country is not all enamoured by the woke cult.

Diversity’s Britain’s Got Talent performance has racked up thousands of Ofcom complaints – making it the second most-hated TV moment of the decde.

New figures released today, show that the BGT champions’ passionate performance, inspired by the death of George Floyd and the Black Lives Matters protests, has been complained about 10,267 times.

It’s become the second most complained about TV moment of the decade.

Good. It would seem that people are pushing back against this obnoxious bullshit.

Ashley Banjo: ‘I looked at George Floyd and I saw my dad’

Oh, really? Was your dad a meth head career criminal who thought it okay to point a loaded pistol at a pregnant woman’s abdomen? No? Then he’s nothing like your dad. And getting pulled over and detained – even if you did think it inappropriate at the time, was he high on meth and died in custody? No? Then nothing like your dad. But even if it was, it is still not the right place to be pushing your politics.

Take your racist propaganda and stick it. It would appear that I am not alone in not wanting these vacuous slebs lecturing me – at least 10,000 saw fit to register a complaint and good for them. BLM is a nasty, racist, far left Marxist organisation. And, no, a family show is not the place to be peddling their vile propaganda.

As far as wanting to provoke a conversation, well, you got one. It just wasn’t the one you wanted. These people always say the same – they want a conversation, when what they mean is blind agreement with their right-on political views. If people don’t agree, then they get all upset about it. Well, tough. Try growing up.

  1. Spot on. Had a conversationb with a black estate agent some time back when this BLM thing blew up.

He said he identified with it because it could have been him. He refused point blank to accept that it was.more likely to happen to me (a whitey), despite plenty of evidence to support (same likelihood in the US I believe – white more likely to die in custody).

Of course, it wasn’t likely to happen to either of us since we’re both I expect mostly law abiding. We’ll call the estate agent Cliff. Names haven’t been changed to ensure guilt falls where it should.

    • Sam Harris looked at this in two hour vid about three months ago. Can’t recall the exact details but he concluded that:
      1. Given the huge number of Police/public interactions the number of poor outcomes is astonishingly small.
      2. Pro rata, whites are more likely to be seriously injured or killed by cop.
      3. Most Blacks injured or killed are victims of BAME police officers, not white ones.

  2. The only reason there are now 10,000+ “complaints” is because the Daily Mail has been running this story every day since Sunday fanning the flames of “outrage”. Ok Diversity’s set was debatable but the artificial backlash has been absolutely pathetic.

  3. Ofcom will do nothing, excuse something like:

Out of x million viewers only 1x,xxx thousand complained

@John, DM encouraging? So what? BGT result has BBC complaints story first

Sheeple need a kick up arse by anyone to fight back

I don’t watch BGT, but friends with children that do turned off and distracted them when they realised where it was going

Floyd caused his own death by telling cops he was not on drugs

  4. Glad to see the Premier League removing the BLM badge from players shirts when the season starts (although they will be replacing it with their own bit of virtue signalling).

And programmes like ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ demonstrates unarguably that it hasn’t.

  5. NFL fans booing show of unity at season opener.

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/chiefs-texans-fans-booing-nfl-opener-controversial/

Ordinary folk expressing displeasure at being hectored over race and equality.

Interestingly, the unity didn’t extend as far as standing for their national anthem, as one team stayed in the locker room when they played it.

The Americans observe their national anthem as an important part of their culture. One side not observing it, but then emerging for some ‘unity song’, will have pissed them off no end.

The fans were also told not to wear ‘Chiefs’ headwear in case of insult. The fans responded by waving their arms in a Tomahawk ‘chopping’ motion. LOL.

  6. 1) Agreed, and one would have to say given the nature of the incidents plod has to deal with, it is inevitable that there will be deaths (both for plod and civilians).

    2) That is my take too. Certainly in the UK the police (and authorities in general) are acutely aware of the racial equality laws, and are I think highly reluctant to engage with BAME suspects unless they have no alternative (child grooming gangs being a good case in point).

    3) No knowledge of that but iirc the GF case itsel had a BAME officer stood impotent in the background whilst GF succumbed to his OD.

Can’t say I’ve watched Sam Harris recently but I recall something about the trans phenomenon that was quite adroit.
