I figured it was time to do a bit of an update. So the menus and titles look a little different. Blues now predominate instead of red.
For those who may be interested - and if you're not, tough, I'm going to tell you anyway - I ride two bikes: A Yamaha XV1000TR1 I bought in 1984, my more recent addition, a BMW R1150RT bought in the spring of 2002 . The TR1 was used at my wedding to Frankie in 1988 - I just can't bring myself to part with it...
I am also interested in reptiles. I keep four of Greek Spur Thigh Tortoises Testudo Graeca. If you click on the "Reptiles" title, there is a link to a number of Herp pages available on the net. Here you will find links to care sheets and such.
As well as tortoises, we keep cats. Meet our cats. There are nine and a half of them.
As well as
having written occasional articles for BikeNet (now defunct), I pen the odd
short story - odd being the word. Be warned, most of these stories have a
motorcycling theme - or sci-fi. I'm a bit of a closet Trekkie. Although I think
on balance, I prefer Babylon 5. It's a darker, deeper programme. What about
Voyager? Any comments? More recently there's Enterprise. This is better still -
you almost forget Captain James T Kirk ever existed. There's heresy...
Here are some Sci Fi links
I'm quite
happy to discuss any aspect of motorcycling, herps or science fiction and
fantasy. You never know I may even feel inclined to talk a little about railways
if you insist. Just don't ask me for engine numbers - I don't know any. If you
want to talk about signalling though...
Please, no junk mail - I won't bother replying to any attempts to sell me anything, particularly health insurance, Email lists and get-rich-quick schemes. As far as I am concerned, junk mail - electronic or otherwise - is a plague that should be stamped out. I hate SPAM and the people who propagate it. And I'm not the only one.
The Boulder Pledge
Under no circumstances will I ever purchase anything offered to me as the result of an unsolicited e-mail message. Nor will I forward chain letters, petitions, mass mailings, or virus warnings to large numbers of others. This is my contribution to the survival of the online community.

Worried
about viruses? Here's an article I wrote
for work about these little bug(ger)s. You may find it illuminating. Then
again, you may not...
