Proving a Point

Islam is not a religion of peace and its followers are all too willing to prove that point.

POLICE have told a French teen who said Islam was a “religion of hate” to go into hiding after calls for her to be killed, raped or attacked.

You couldn’t make it up. Islam is accused of being a religion of hate and its followers respond with death threats, thereby proving the point beyond all doubt. It would be funny if it wasn’t so serious.

This story does seem to have more to it than that, though.

Mila, who loves singing and whose profile is adorned with an LGBT flag, was talking with her followers on Instagram when one of them reportedly began harassing her.

After rebuffing the follower’s advances, he reportedly began insulting her with homophobic attacks and accusations of racism, calling her a “dirty French girl”, “dirty w***e”, “dirty dy***”.

Then the attacks took a religious tone, with zealots online reportedly accusing Mila of insulting “our God Allah, the one and only” and hoping that she would “burn in hell.”

And all I would say is this, to the Owen Jones’ of this world who are willing to get into bed with these people – I hope you have a very, very long spoon. LGBTQWERTY and the followers of Allah are not easy bedfellows. And the response this girl got was a fine example.

In a clip she said:  “I hate religion. The Koran is… full of hate, Islam is sh**, that’s what I think. I am not racist, not at all.

She is objectively correct.

Under French law there are no restrictions on blasphemy or any criticisms of religion.

Quite right, too. You should be able to freely criticise and ridicule belief systems without any fear of prosecution – and, frankly, without fear of the followers of the relevant stone-age religion threatening to kill you.

Her name and address and those of her school were leaked on the internet, prompting the local education authority to call the police.

Repeat after me: Islam is a religion of peace. If you do it enough times, you might even begin to believe it…

Nah…

Sill, Mila did rather prove her point, though, didn’t she?

  1. Nobody has the right not to be offended by the truth.
This principle is unfortunately being undermined by misguided laws.
