  1. While I wouldn’t go as far as saying “It’s another Jussie Smollett”, certain aspects of the event as related by Owen Jones doesn’t pass the sniff test.

  2. I had suspicions about this straight away. I hope if he’s found to be lying he gets prosecuted for wasting police time. But I doubt it will happen.

  3. It was probably some distant relative of Margaret Thatcher, getting him back for all those things he has said, written and blamed her for even though he was only about 4 years old when she left No 10.

  4. He’s remarkably unmarked for someone who’s supposedly been set about by allegedly “right-wing thugs” Were one a “right-wing thug”, I think I’d be a tad miffed at ones shoddy handiwork.

    He’s telling porkies squire

    • Yes, a marked odour of Billingsgate about the whole episode.
How does he know these blighters were right wing? Any normal blokes would give him a going-over on principle, especially if he’d been mouthing off, as he probably was. (He seems to do little else.) He talks a lot of rubbish sober – it beggars the imagination what he’s like when he’s three parts pissed on Babycham.

  5. Loved that! I believed smollet when I just got the headline but this has made more cautious since and this is either a complete lie or a pathetic little child who had the world’s gentlest tickle thought it was a savage beating and embellished like mad to suit his politics. Really crazy thing is no one in the media asking a single question on any of it!

  6. I would like to slap him, just for his whiny 12 year old voice. Don’t think it has broke yet.p

  7. Classic. Much enjoyed and shamelessly nicked to post over at ISAC.
I still think it’s because he’s a self opinionated little gobshite – but he disagrees, so I must be wrong…

  8. I find the guy a pain in the neck and just switch channels . But I do not support or turn a blind eye to violence. However it seems that the liberal left need to have stories about violence , death threats, racism or any range of phobeisms as part of their cause. Some Tory MPs who are Remainers are the same. What would they do without such threats – real or imagined ? There is a general tendency on the liberal left to look out for any possible slight as a prelude to confected outrage. Followed by a Twitter storm. It is called ” crying wolf” .
And that leads to real threats being ignored or ridiculed.

  9. To be fair he does provide us all with a fair amount of entertainment. We also get a certain amount of smug satisfaction out of knowing that we aren’t him.
