Notley Because You Are a Woman

Canada has seen the progressives swept from power in Alberta. This seems to be a trend – possibly seeing Trudeau ousted from office next October. However, we now get the excuses.

The gradual disappearance of women from the ranks of Canada’s premiers raises questions about society’s willingness to embrace true equality, former female leaders and political pundits said Wednesday.

Women made up nearly half of the country’s provincial and territorial leaders in 2013, but those ranks have slowly thinned as a succession of female premiers covering the entire political spectrum lost their re-election bids.

Ah, right. It wasn’t because Notley abused her power and was a dreadful premier, it was because Albertans were misogynists who don’t like women in charge. Well, given that four years previously, they gave her an opportunity to demonstrate her powers of leadership and in the intervening four years has indeed demonstrated them, they decided someone else will have to come in and clear up the mess. It is nothing to do with her sex and everything to do with the fact that she was an awful premier.

Still, when Trudeau is swept from power, he won’t be able to use that excuse.

  1. Yes, it’s obviously unfair to suggest that woman leaders could ever be anything less than perfect. I mean look at Theresa May…. er… nice weather lately?

  2. Thatcher was one of the greatest prime ministers that the UK ever had, may is one of the worst. Why is it relevant that they are women?

  3. Notley’s gone, Not because she was a woman, but because she was a globalist stooge who did not have her constituents best interests at heart. Nothing sexist about it at all.

  4. ” …raises questions about society’s willingness to embrace true equality.”

Ah, that lovely word, “embrace.” The politicians’ little euphemism for – err – “like.” It always irritates them, doesn’t it, the fact that no matter how hard they try they can never make people like what, basically, they don’t. It’s the one thing that is absolutely and totally outside of their power. And they really, really hate that. They can stifle debate all they like, besmirch those who disagree with their ideals, rain propaganda on the people, use their compliant drones to shame dissenters into silence, bring legions of their friendly “experts” to make pronouncements and do surveys, and enact laws, rules and regulations which effectively force people to behave as if they are “embracing” those ideals, but this just enables the PTB to fool themselves into thinking that they have been successful – which is why they kick into blame-mode the moment reality bites them in the backside. Which it always does, the moment it gets its chance. If people don’t like something then they don’t like it. End of. Leaders in all fields – empires, religions, politics – down through the ages have tried and failed in this respect. To those of us living in the real world, this comes as no surprise at all. To those in the Ivory Towers of high politics, it seems it always comes as huge one. One would almost feel sorry for them if it wasn’t entirely of their own doing.

  5. Woman Politician similar to vindictive Notley

Anna Soubry – Good grief, she’s even more obnoxious and bullying than on Al-Beeb/C4

Rude, disparaging, condescending, threatening: “You’re a member, very interesting, where do you live?” – blackmail, extortion, coercion?

Objection M’Lord: Soubry lied with “He never delivered a leaflet” – “John” refused to confirm/deny for PerSec

Soubry’s behaviour should persuade honest, law-abiding, democrat remainers to support Leave EU

  6. She lost because Albertans are suffering economically. She broke her promise on delivering the pipeline and suckered up to the US lobby trying to prevent Albertans from getting a fair price for their oil. Because she was in hock to the lefty/green blob supported by ‘charitable’ organisations in the US who threatened to pull the funding for her re-election campaign. Shameful. Glad she is gone. Up Alberta!!!
