A War on Women?

This is Julie Bindel we are talking about, so everything is viewed through a filter of misandry. In this case, murder stats. And according to Bindel, there is a war being waged against women.

Last year, 139 women died in the UK as a result of male violence. This misogyny is not inevitable, it’s preventable

This being the Guardian and Bindel, a fair assessment of the facts is not what we can look forward to. After all, this is the usual anti-male poison we can expect from this journal and this journalist (and I use the term in its loosest possible sense).

The latest census on femicide – women killed by men – has shown that during 2017, a staggering 139 women in the UK died as a result of male violence. But nobody joined the dots between these cases except for feminists campaigning against male violence towards women. Despite there being an obvious link between the misogynistic culture under which brutal – and often fatal – male violence occurs, the UK government has never made the connection that these women die because men’s violence towards women and girls is a global pandemic.

Last year, eh? Well, according to the ONS statistics, the total number of homicides in the UK during year ending March 2017 was 709. So, extract 139 from 709 and you get 570 (although these figures include the Hillsborough manslaughters). So, er, around two-thirds of those murdered were not women. A staggering two-thirds of homicide victims were men. But, I guess, that doesn’t fit the narrative… Anyway going back to the ONS:

The number of male victims has increased at a faster rate than females in recent years with male victims of homicide increasing by 33% to 433…

And:

The number of female homicide victims has remained broadly flat over the last five years (fewer than 200).

“The number of male victims has increased at a faster rate than females”. And “the number of female victims has remained broadly flat over the last five years”. No, the facts definitely do not fit the narrative. There is only one conclusion that we can draw here: The Guardian and Julie Bindel are nothing more than misandrist scum who are telling lies to justify their prejudices. There is no war against women.

I notice that there are no comments allowed for this piece of risible shit. Presumably because they know damned well that people will do as I did and look up the figures and reach the inevitable conclusion that there isn’t a war against women after all and that Bindel is peddling her usual man-hating tripe again.

None of this, of course, minimises the fact that each of these deaths was a tragedy. A tragedy made worse by scurrilous arseholes like Julie Bindel seeking to use them as political capital. How low can these people sink?

  1. My take on Monday:

C4 News 17 Dec: Brexit means no time for Domestic Abuse Bill – horrifying: 1 woman killed by partner every four days

Err, you what? ~90 per year in 70 Million population and that should be No1 Gov’t priority? No, No, No, it’s insignificant.

TW at CT expanded on Tuesday, ~90 was correct.

Not addressed: how many women killed by women (lesbian) partners?

    • “Not addressed: how many women killed by women (lesbian) partners?”

What? Were they muffed to death or something?

      • Lesbians/Dykes are frequently testosterone enriched, destabilised and prone to violence. BBC News et al depicts them as heroes.

    • At least one of the cases Bindel cites involves the cultural enrichers. Here again, we see the cognitive dissonance of the left. They try to claim that misogyny and homophobia are problems with western white men, while ignoring the savagery of Islam. It isn’t western white men who treat women as second class citizens, forcing them to cover up or killing them for daring to date someone they don’t like. Nor is it western white men who throw homosexuals off tall buildings.

The Guardian and people like Bindel look at ordinary western people and call us extremists because we do not go along with their vile, twisted ideology. They are the extremists here, not us.

      • And they think we don’t notice. These people are actually performing a service but they’re too stupid and self absorbed to realise it.

  2. My tentative solution to the problem is to ban murder especially against women.

That seems to be the catch all solution to all other social problems after all.

    What could possibly go wrong.
