You’d Need A Heart Of Stone

As Timmy notes, the Guardian’s financial woes continue despite  begging people to give them money. As a consequence, they are delaying pay rises. Well, now, that’s mighty interesting. This is the organisation that has peddled the living wage codswallop. It is also the organ that has gone on and on and on about fair taxation. This despite engaging on offshore tax avoidance… Not that I have a problem with offshore tax avoidance. Far from it. I think it’s an excellent idea. It’s just that the Guardian has whined like a jet turbine about how dreadful it is. It’s hypocrisy I despise and the left have certainly cornered the market in that.

Meanwhile, the thought of not having the constant whining from the likes of Owen Jones does offer some small pleasure as well as the demise of a mainstream outlet that simply publishes press releases from the fake charities and lobby groups without bothering to challenge the presumptions being made. Although, maybe the teenage trot will be regaling us of his adventures picketing outside the Guardian offices and shouting “scab” at people who dare to enter. After all, he writes bullshit about returning to the seventies, maybe he should lead by example. After all, the evil capitalists who run his employer have not honoured his pay rise. How terrible.

But above all else, if this nasty publication finally goes, then it is one less race-baiting, sexist, Islam loving scumbag newspaper that dies a well deserved death. No sympathy here.

  1. Sorry to start off being OT but I recently came across http://www.knuckledraggin.com and I thought that some of the content might amuse you. The guy is a pretty crazy American right wing gun but, but he really shares my slightly black sense of humour. Since you share my sense of humour too, I thought that you might like his.

In the meantime we can laugh at the Guardian, it is always amusing to watch the beliefs of lefties crashing headlong into reality.

    • Doesn’t the BBC buy most of the copies anyway?

The only times I ever read any of the tripe they spew, is when there’s a link from someone who is much better at discussing reality, then I just love reading their begging letter before I totally ignore it!

Also hyyperbolic rage at Gov’t Austerity not increasing borrowing, taxing and spending enough; public sector wage freezes (they still went up) and private sector real wage cuts.

Owen et al picketing The Groan would be a wonderful sight to behold.

    • By picketing, you could argue that it’s a similar process to sitting on the pavement by a cashpoint with a plastic cup…

      • Target new market?

One of my (school biker) friends owns a grubby “back street” garage – his earnings have increased post 2008 as free coffee, nice premises became less important than car MOTd and working more important.

        Oh, avoid sub-prime clients

Good Movie: The Big Short (2015)

        • Actually I have done that. Its lower paid but more rewarding from the work life balance and I’m doing something I enjoy. Its not all about money.
