Idiot

Michael Segalov tries desperately to make a case for hypocrisy and fails dismally. Interestingly, there are no comments below the piece, so I suspect that even the Guardian realises that he will be rightly eviscerated for the crap he has dribbled across the page.

Nobody called Lord Holroyde a “snowflake” when in 2016 he sentenced hate preacher Anjem Choudary to five and a half years in prison for words that he’d said. Choudary was encouraging people to join Islamic State – a proscribed, banned terrorist organisation. Be in no doubt: it was language, not action, which led to a conviction.

What a fucking moron. Choudary was convicted for incitement which as any fule no, is not a free speech matter.

Unsurprisingly there was no outpouring of outrage claiming Holroyde was turning the nation into a mollycoddled mass of censorious drips too afraid to tackle Choudary’s abhorrent views with sensible arguments.

Choudary was not convicted for his views, nor for voicing his views. Therefore, trying to claim that “the right” are hypocrites because they did not cry foul is utter stupidity of the highest order. Fuckwit. Peak Guardian.

Michael Segalov is a contributing editor at Huck magazine, a freelance journalist and author

And a moron.

  1. So:

I’m not 100% sure a man becomes a woman just because he says he is.

The left’s response – send the police in, prosecute, ban from social media, hound out of job, attack, attack, attack…

    But:

I don’t want someone to walk the streets who actively recruits for an organisation that routinely commits mass murder, torture, and rape.

    The left’s response – Snowflake!

    Nice.

  2. Lord Holroyde is a “snowflake” for when in 2016 he sentenced hate preacher Anjem Choudary it was not for the maximum term with a proviso release would only occur when he was no longer a threat to national security.
