Cultural appropriation is pretty much universal really. Different cultures rùb up against each other and sometimes mix and they borrow each other’s ideas and practices all the time. It seems to me that this is mostly a positive thing. I really like curry and also like Italian, Chinese and Mexican food. The English language is well known for absorbing useful foreign words. Dawn Butler is evidently a rather stupid woman. Jamie Oliver has been justifiably excoriated on this blog, he might have a chance here to redeem himself slightly by giving a robust response to Daft Dawn. Do you suppose he will?
