I Am An Extremist

Perry opines on the matter of the left and their attitude to free speech (spoiler alert – they oppose it). The killer quote he mentions is this:

Meet the new face of Ukip: The free speech extremists who could make Ukip dangerous again

Right, so free speech is extremism now. In that case, given that I am an absolutist when it comes to freedom of speech, I am an extremist. Consequently, I am proud to wear the badge – all the more so if it distances me from the kind of leftist scum that write such nonsense in the Mirror and the Grauniad or the Independent. The left are nothing more than authoritarian thugs opposed to liberty in all its guises.

And I am the extremist…

  1. Whilst I strongly opposed to banning it, I also believe that The Daily Mirror calling itself a newspaper constitutes an offence under the Trades Descriptions Act.

  2. I must be really dangerous then, I am a free speech extremist, a Leave voter, white, male and heterosexual, I also work for a living and pay my taxes. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I think Trump is great – mainly because he causes all those pinky liberal heads to explode.

    Ain’t life a bitch!

    • I see you and raise my Catholic faith on that one too, rapscallion. There can be no hope for us whatever.

  3. I find it interesting that these people have moved from being ‘free speech butters’ who seem to accept, despite wishing it wasn’t, that free speech is a good thing. They were of course too stupid to realise that saying ‘I’m in favour of free speech but…’ means that you are not in favour of free speech. They have now become more blatant and are openly saying that they think that being in favour of free speech is evil and extreme. Perhaps if they were prosecuted for hate speech for calling free speech advocates extremists they might have some kind of epiphany but I doubt it.
