Dickie Doubleday – also known as Rickie these days – has been busy establishing himself over at Tim Worstall’s place. The pattern has been following what has gone on elsewhere. He behaves himself for a while then, when he thinks no one is noticing, he goes off on one about how he has been censored on other blogs and how the “smoker loonies” are harassing him – as opposed mostly to ignoring him and deleting his rants.
Given that he has decided to make his usual complaint, I decided to put the matter straight for the benefit of anyone who wasn’t aware of his history.
Now, having just been accused of sock puppetry, what does he do? Oh, yeah, he comes back as “anon” pasting the usual nonsense about how he has been harassed. This from the man who has engaged in online harassment for half a decade to my knowledge, who has tried blackmail, intimidation and doxxing. Yes, for anyone reading that thread, “anon” is the same person posting as “Rickie” above and is the same person being described in my comment – Dickie Doubleday, extreme anti-smoker and general nuisance.
Like a bad smell, he won’t go away…

You fooled me. I thought ‘return of DD’ referred to our Brexit labradoodle or perhaps even ‘Domestic Discipline’….which would have made for an interesting Sunday afternoon read! I had almost forgotten about Dickie Double Digits, Norfolk’s finest…how quickly memories fade.

I must admit though DD is particularly cuntish, referring to “The dead lady’s skirt”…..and other similar nastiness. One can disagree but there is no call for that kind of thing. I would have loved to be the person visiting him. he wouldn’t have been able to type for a year if I had got hold of him.
Oh, he got a shock alright – and despite his claims to the contrary, Dickie Doubleday was the person Anna Raccoon visited. Enjoy your fame while it lasts. However, I do not delete comments that merely disagree with me even if I am scathing when responding. You have to put up with that.
A little history here. Dickie Doubleday is an extreme anti-smoker. His approach to those of us who have argued for the freedom to choose was to conduct the blog equivalent of a DDoS attack in an attempt to shut down those voices. He is completely intolerant of any dissent.
As it is, he only needs a slight nudge to set him off, so people can see what he is for themselves.
Yeah I’m reasonably aware of him. He’s popped up on a few blogs that I read….Leg irons, Frank Davies, Dioclese and here obviously plus a few others.
I have a lot of respect for the way you run this place btw, even if I don’t always agree and I don’t really take umbrage at “scathing responses” either. I wouldn’t actually post here if I didn’t have any respect for your opinions. A hell of a lot that I agree with btw….especially on social liberty issues. It is just the economic/political issues that we tend to part ways on. I suppose the trolls of the world will always be with us…it’s the price we pay for the freedom to chat shit if we wish…;-)

Which is what I do here, of course. When he pops up elsewhere spouting his whining bullshit, I point out the history and retire from the field. I leave him to prove my point, which he has done right on cue.
Had he refrained from the “bloggers are censoring him” nonsense, I’d have carried on ignoring him.
And I’ve posted over there, just to reinforce the truth.
Way back I noticed he invariably became agitated during the depths of winter, so he’s a little late this year, possibly because this winter just does not want to quit.
If what he said is correct:

Then he’s certifiably nuts, not especially good at business and almost certainly on several blacklists.
It’s a profile that’s very similar yet another individual who claims to hang out in Dumfries, Scotland. He too has been quiet for some time.
Most unfortunate you mentioned you are intersexed. His comments from about 2 pm all mention gonads – and I believe these were intended to be personal, small minded and hurtful.
In that he shares exactly the same misconceptions the Dumfries chap does. And he’s so way out there dead wrong it’s insulting in his blithe ignorance – and his self appointed expertise on the subject.

What’s interesting here is that Anna Raccoon said very little online about her visit. She shared it by email. Curiously Rickie’s recollection matches her account precisely. So, yes, she got the right target.
On the matter of doxxing, despite his claims I have never published his details online. He, however, went around several blogs posting my details. Those were promptly deleted so very few people saw them. All a bit academic as I came out once I started writing for Leg Iron. What it does do is emphasise what a nasty little hypocrite he is.

I’ve sent you a copy of Anna’s email – in it she mentions stuff that was not said online, yet DD/Rickie is well aware of and mentioned it in his ranting. She was convinced she had the right man. Now, who do we believe? Anna, who had a reputation for digging up the facts or a proven pathological liar? I know where I’m putting my money.

and as if to remove all doubt , I am now apparently not only the mental health nurse who released his records to the public but a mental health nurse at the renowned ‘Priory’ ? He seems incapable even of finding the personal information about me that is plastered all over the net.
It’s amusing indeed. He threatened to out me over at Dioclese’s place the other year. He was going to reveal all that he knew and report it all to my employer despite me being self-employed, so he would be reporting it to me. As time went on and his bluff was called, he had to back down – he always does.
It followed the usual pattern from the DD days right through to now. The other big giveaway is syntax and phraseology. We all write with a voice whether we try to disguise it or not. Rickie and Dickie Doubleday write with exactly the same voice. Anna got her man alright and the more he protests and shouts, the more he confirms it.
He is to the blogosphere what ‘Nick’ was to criminal investigations of historic abuse. Most amusingly of all he hasn’t yet realised that my Lizard overlords have already given me quite clear instructions regarding him…and i go past Upton about once a month to see G.

Ah, well, from what DD says, he put that image about. For once, I’m inclined to believe him as it fits with his pathology.
Anna fictionalised her description though, so the bucolic cottage was anything but.
He is wittering on about evidence now. Yet every time he posts as “Anon” he is providing evidence of what I accused him of. I also pointed to plenty of evidence of his behaviour – including my own post where I provided screenshots and extracts from server logs showing his IP address. That IP address led me to exactly the same place that Anna Raccooon’s investigation led, so. yes, DD/Richard Doubleday/Rickie and Anon are one and the same.
He is also threatening to report us to the police. He won’t of course, because to do that, he will expose his own behaviour and there is evidence of harassment, intimidation and blackmail, the latter of which carries a possible sentence of 14 years. So, it’s bluster and the more he blusters, the more he exposes himself, so let it happen.
If I was Tim, I would have started the deleting and banning as soon as he popped up as “Anon” because he crossed the line into sock puppetry, but Tim seems to take an anything goes approach. His regulars, however, are now in no doubt about what they have in their midst. They will do one of two things – ignore him, which seems to be the pattern at the moment, or tear him a new one. Either way, the “poor little me, I’ve been censored by those nasty bloggers” shtick, simply won’t wash its face anymore. So my job is done.
Well, it’s all very well knowing that DD is still around stirring up all the usual trouble, but does anyone know what’s happened to David from New Mills?? I bet not too many of you remember him! He was from precisely the same mould as DD, but lived (I’m guessing – clue in the name there!) elsewhere. He used to be a real regular on blogs like these, but I’ve seen neither hide nor hair of him for many years. Oh, how I miss him. His comments were always good for a laugh after a long day …
I never had the pleasure. I have had Bane/Patroller try it on, but he was easily dismissed.
