I have recently sent off my Halloween stories to Leggy for the latest Underdog anthology. What’s come out of this is that I have written another Morning Cloud story – this one to go with the Christmas theme. I’ve now written five episodes all of roughly the same length. It was suggested to me by Mrs L that perhaps Morning Cloud should have a book of her own. My sister chipped in with the point that reading them out of sequence is disjointed, given that there is an overall story arc and the same set of characters. I’ve reached a point where I don’t have anything more to add for this character (although I’m not ruling anything out in the future). So having come to a natural end point, the next project is to do a quick revisit, produce some artwork and the Morning Cloud Chronicles will be added to the Leg-Iron Press catalogue.

It’s a long time since I carried a rifle but I don’t think you would carry one like that. There a big chance of the muzzle hitting the ground and getting dirt in it and it’s dangerously close to her foot. Besides which, it just looks awkward.
It’s just a drawing. It isn’t real. Nor are the stories…
But the stories are an invitation to suspend my disbelief and pretend she’s real. You don’t want anything getting in the way of that, do you?
Well, I’m not redrawing it, if that’s what you are suggesting. 😉
