The Inbetweeny

I hadn’t expected the insurance to pay out so soon on the RT. Consequently, I arranged the purchase of a late, low mileage F800GT as an interim bike. It is ideal for training and would do the Isle of Man trip. The latter is now cancelled due to current circumstances. And as I have decided to sell the R80R anyway – and that is an ongoing problem. It sold on eBay, but the buyer who is based in the Czech Republic decided to back out of the sale, so I’m having to regroup. Anyway, I picked up the F800 this morning. Very nice ride. Very nice indeed – light, nimble and poky. Those brakes are a little on the fierce side, but I’m impressed. I have a CBT tomorrow, so we will see how well it copes with that.
