Newspeak

Clearly, Orwell wrote an instruction manual.

A rightwing network of British bloggers and social media activists has emerged as an increasingly influential voice for white nationalists and for those who oppose multiculturalism. The network is also credited with helping propel Donald Trumpto the presidency, a new report has claimed.

In its annual audit of the far right, Hope not Hate, the UK’s largest anti-racism and anti-extremism movement, said that although conventional far right groups such as the English Defence League continue to fracture, new forces have surfaced that can reach a vast international audience and bolster support for the “alt-right”, which is defined as the far right with a fringe “white nationalist element” that opposes multiculturalism and defends “western values”.

That probably includes the likes of me for I am opposed to multiculturalism as it clearly does not work and I prefer western values for they are values that do not involve treating women as second class citizens or killing gays, for example. Those western values are to be appreciated while they still last, for they are what kept the barbarian from the gates for so long. Now, it seems, we are to invite the barbarian in and allow him to destroy us – all in the name of hope not hate… of course these fools will find out soon enough just what hate really means should they achieve their utopia.

These idiotic terms such as “extremist”, and “ALT-Right” are simply euphemisms for “people who don’t agree with us.” Still, it’s nice to think I had such influence that I helped the Donald get the keys to the White House. Not too much hyperbole, eh?

No, what got him there wasn’t people like me bemoaning the vile identity politics espoused by Hope not Hate, it was that a critical mass of American voters realised that these people and their allies are themselves the purveyors of hatred – hatred of them and their kind. So they voted for the other and who can blame them? And, after the Brexit vote driven by a similar realisation, these people still don’t get it.

Analysis of the global far right network during 2016 – a year that witnessed Brexit and a marked populist resurgence throughout Europe and the US – identified 28 far right groups active in the UK but also named a cohort of Britons that it said were instrumental in propagating “alt-right” views and masterminding attacks on liberal democracy.

That is code for voting for an alternative. That is democracy in action. However these people, who are themselves the extremists here, are opposed to democracy when it delivers the “wrong” result. Liberal democracy still exists. We still have our parliament, the Americans still have their representatives and congress along with an elected head of state. It was the result of a democratic vote. So, er what attacks on democracy? Oh, yes, the demonstrations demanding that both votes be overturned, That attack.

“…the “alt-right”, which is defined as the far right with a fringe “white nationalist element” that opposes multiculturalism and defends “western values”.”

I thought I was a conservative libertarian. However, Mr Townsend has deemed me far/alt-right as I defend, promote & celebrate “western values” which lead to better living standards for all.

Multiculturalism is a “touchy-feely” distraction word to hide the barbaric medieval behaviour of many cultures. Integrate & accept host nation’s culture or leave; stop demanding host nation accepts your culture.

  2. Ah, populism, the wrong sort of ‘Democracy’. These damn votes having minds of their own and putting X’s in the wrong box. It’s just not on don’cha know.

Yep. See my Wall Of Hate to get an idea why one particular crucial subgroup in both instances went against “the establishment”: https://www.dropbox.com/home/WallOfHate?preview=MasterHateFINALC45x30+(Custom).jpg

“A rightwing network of British bloggers and social media activists has emerged….”

The Left creates faux-enemies to fight, to rally the mindless blobs who follow it, in order to keep the Cause going.

As the Left it is defeated the enemies it has previously created, it has to invent new ones… otherwise the Left has no reason to be.
