Well That Went Well…

Zac gambled and lost

Lib Dem leader Tim Farron claims his party is “back in the big time” after it fought on the issue of Brexit to oust ex-Conservative MP Zac Goldsmith in the Richmond Park by-election.

Oh, bugger. You’d need a heart of stone and all that. However, the hyperbole is out in force with Tiny Tim thinking that one by-election result is a comeback for the LibDems and that it is a vote on their Brexit stance. Y’know, if politicians were ordinary folk, they would be sectioned.

“This is the beginning of something special… This is a historic moment for the country – let’s see what happens next.”

I ain’t Mystic Meg by any means, but I can predict with a 99% certainty that it will be business as usual and that at the next general election the Tories will retake the seat. Perhaps I should put my fiver down at the bookies now.

Twat!

  1. The claim that one by-election result represents a national swing against Brexit really does reek of desperation. I’m struggling to think of another example of such pathetic straw clutching.

      • “Remember Rosie Barnes?”

Er, no I don’t actually, the name doesn’t ring a bell at all. Was she a Lib-Dem who unexpectedly won a by-election too?

        • Rosie Barnes took a by-election victory as the SDP candidate back in the eighties. It was going to herald a new politics with the SDP ousting Labour. Well, that worked out okay, didn’t it? She lost her seat to Labour next time around at a general election.

  2. As I have pointed out elsewhere ,the Kant minute nominee for Twat of the Year, Zac Goldsmith, wasted our money and he should repay it, apart from being a complete twat, what did he achieve exactly?
