Self Righteousness Writ Large

Kirsty Allsopp doesn’t understand what the fuss is about.

But Location, Location, Location presenter Kirstie Allsopp yesterday defended herself against accusations of fat-shaming claiming she had shared her observation to highlight the pressure on the NHS caused by obesity.

Another self-righteous twat who has fallen for the obesity crisis bullshit. We do not have an obesity crisis. Sure, some people are fat. However, the definition of obesity is being shifted downwards in order to create a crisis where there is none. The vast majority of people are not fat and certainly not obese, so, er no problem, frankly and nothing that needs some vacuous celebrity to highlight it. Also, BMI – the measure used – is nonsense on stilts, having been thoroughly discredited.

Yesterday in an open letter she posted on social media, the Location, Location, Location star said the only point she was trying to make is that if we ‘all want a functioning NHS we all need to take a pull [take responsibility].

Bullshit. I am becoming increasingly angry at this attitude that somehow we owe the NHS anything. We do not. We pay – handsomely – for this service and it owes us, not the other way around. Unfortunately, socialised healthcare leads us to this moronic thinking that other people’s health is any of our concern because the NHS may be needed to care for them in the event of a lifestyle choice. Well, the gentleman Allsopp observed is also likely a taxpayer and has paid for any healthcare he may need, but does he?

‘It’s not healthy [to eat what the man in the café was consuming] whether it’s breakfast, lunch or supper.

What!?! Really? A cheese and ham sandwich, a croissant and a bottle of coke. That’s protein, fats, carbohydrates and sugar. All perfectly healthy in moderation – and Allsopp in her haste to judge has no idea what he eats at other times. So, no, a fucking cheese and ham sandwich grabbed on the move is not unhealthy. I eat such food when on the road. I’m 10 stone and 5′ 7″, so I’m not remotely overweight, let alone obese and anyone who thinks that they have the right to judge my eating habits can stick their judgement where the sun don’t shine. And this, it seems, was the reaction to Allsopp’s nasty bit of fat shaming.

So, Allsopp, you don’t understand why? Well, how about this, then; the man concerned was going about his business and minding his own, how about you follow his lead and mind yours? Because, you see, it really is none of your business, just as it is not up to you to judge someone’s eating habits on the basis of one meal observed in a food outlet. Only a cretin would do that.

‘We can either take a pull and accept that what we eat hugely impacts our health and therefore #OurNHS or we can stick our heads in the sand.’

Or we could just mind our own business and leave others to mind theirs – and, perhaps, stop swallowing the propaganda peddled by the health Nazis in public health.

‘How can doctors & dentists help their patients if folk go bonkers if you say coke, coffee, croissant, ham & cheese sarnie not a wise combo?’

But it’s not. It is perfectly fine in moderation and you have no idea whether it is or not, which is why people called you out over it.

In an attempt to prove she was not being judgmental, the 45-year-old admitted she is overweight because she is ‘greedy’ however she said earlier this year she has made more of an effort to eat small portions and has lost two stone.

So, despite being a lard-arse herself, she feels perfectly okay judging others. How about you just mind your own business and leave others alone? That way, you won’t find yourself on the receiving end of such harsh judgement yourself.

  1. Its people who are overweight this week, last week it was the old taking too much in pensions or healthcare, next week it will be some other sub sect of the greater working class community, though lefties always have certain groups, religious or otherwise who are untouchable.

Its just another day in the land of divide and rule, and useful idiots are good to get the fools who worship them on board, those recognisable from the idiot box in the corner are especially useful idiots…think back to that cunt Geldof making himself look an even bigger cunt than usual, together with his boatload of equally vacuous drones with their anti working people protest during the lead up to Brexit.

Its the bigger fools who listen to and actually worship these airheads that annoy me, i wouldn’t cross the road to piss on any of these loud mouthed celeb types if they were on fire

I would if I pissed petrol.

  2. It’s pretty much the standard long-haul breakfast in economy class, having opted for cola rather than orange juice. Depending on where my time zone’s at I’ve been known to add vodka.

  3. Funnily enough, recently when I said to a nurse that people were sick and tired (no pun intended) of being blamed for getting ill and that we smokers, for example, more than pay our way, she didn’t disagree. I wonder if the coal-face NHS workers are getting the message? They just need to keep sending it upwards.

BTW has this page changed – codes and everyfink?

    • I also get the impression that the health professionals that I come into contact with tend to take the output of the health fascists with a pinch of salt. But then, apart from a weakness for beer, I am a very well behaved little diabetic. If I was seriously overweight and didn’t exercise it might be a different story.

A note to our host, the capcha type spam filter works extremely well and is very easy to use.

      • The capcha was in error. I hadn’t noticed the checkbox. It isn’t needed with other spam tools in place. The plugin was installed to give people quick tags for HTML code.
