Contempt

They really do hold us in contempt.

MPs should “vote with their conscience” in parliament on new laws relating to Brexit “irrespective of the views of their constituents”, a top lawyer has said.

Uh huh, so never mind that we had a vote – a vote agreed by the very same MPs. That we didn’t vote the “right way” means it should be overturned. ‘Cos, well, because, really…

“MPs are bound to follow their conscience and to vote for what they understand to be the public good, irrespective of the views of their constituents.”

“I would encourage MPs to vote with their conscience; it’s their duty,” said the lawyer. “That’s how we abolished the death penalty.”

So, basically, they know best and fuck the constituents, eh?

But for real arrogance, Ken Clarke:

“The idea that I’m suddenly going to change my lifelong opinions about the national interest and regard myself as instructed to vote in parliament on the basis of an opinion poll is laughable,” he said.

This piece of shit is employed by us, not the other way around. We had a vote, we gave these cunts our instructions, but apparently, it’s a mere opinion poll to be overturned by fat, useless fuckers like Clarke because they would lose their gravy-train when they retire from national politics.

And they wonder why there is an anti-politics trend developing and Ukip polled so well at recent elections. If they want them to poll even better at the next one, they are going the right way about it. And, when it comes to treating the electorate with contempt, nothing comes close to the utter contempt with which I view these politicians. Scum, the lot of them.

We had a vote. We told you what we wanted, now get on with it.

  1. I find Ken Clarke’s continuing to breathe offensive. As he’s technically guilty therefore of a hate crime, shouldn’t he be prevented from continuing to breathe?

  2. Clarke and his ilk remind me of little bastard dictators, convinced they are divinely right and entitled to rule, their opinion worth far more than that of anyone else.

Sooner he and his cohorts get fucked off the better for everyone, not as there won’t be legion of equally obnoxious self important arse holes waiting in the wings to jump in their shoes and preach their gospel.

  3. How soon they forget Jo Cox. Terminated by a nutter that didn’t think he had a voice. Now 17+ million of us don’t.

    • The bastards seem to almost insist that people turn murderous. We voted for brexit, if we don’t get it, I won’t be surprised if there will be some who will feel justified in taking violent retribution against those who treat the vote with contempt. I don’t believe in violence, but if you say to people: “yes, you voted for Brexit, but you are too dumb to make such a decision so you need clever people like me to save you from your idiocy” then you shouldn’t be surprised if some of the allegedly dumb people lash out in frustration.

  4. It makes you wonder if there is a brain cell amongst the lot of them. Do they not realise that this is one of the reasons WHY so many of us voted for Brexit. I voted to return sovereignty and all that entails to this country, but also as a “fuck you” to cunts like Clarke, Cameron, Osbourne, Mandelsbum and all the other traitorous scumbags. I don’t have contempt for them, they are beneath even that.

  5. Damn right. get on with it. These MPs are basically anti democracy in general. They agreed to the referendum and its outcome. They just hadn’t bargained for a leave vote.

  6. I think that, if MPs have conscience problems when it comes to voting through the necessary legislation to enact Brexit, the honourable thing to do is to abstain.

  7. “But for real arrogance, Ken Clarke”

Contemptible Smug Pompous Fat Sneering Self Important

    I’m sure there are others…..

  8. Every one of them with a’conscience’ should be identified and their constituents who voted Brexit encouraged to let them know they’ll be voting for the other guy next time.
