Admin Note

Here we go again… The nasty little troll, Dickie Doubleday, is up to his usual tricks. As previously, he has taken to spoofing other people. He’s been presenting himself as me over at Counting Cats and OoL this past few days.

So, if you came here to have a quiet word about something I might have said over at yours, I suggest you check the following:

IP – I use a UK IP address. I do not try to disguise my IP behind anonymous proxies. So if the IP address is somewhere in the Russian Federation, the USA or Macedonia, the comment is a fake.

Email address  – I never, never, use the email address associated with this site for leaving comments. Indeed, in order to make it a little easier for you, I have attached the image above as the Gravatar for this address. I understand, from comments left by those unfortunate enough to have seen DD in the (somewhat expansive) flesh, it’s a fair likeness. Anyway, if the comment has the above avatar attached, it’s a fake.

Syntax  – DD cannot spell, does not know how to use apostrophes and fails to accurately capitalise sentence cases. I can and proof read to be sure. So, yeah, I might miss the odd typo, but I am literate. DD is a dribbling loon. Also, look for derogatory comments that appear to be self-deprecating. When I do it, it has a genuine smile attached to it  – a lightness of tone to indicate the underlying humour, rather than a snide attempt to belittle. If it ain’t written in clear, plain, correctly punctuated English, it’s a fake.

Also, if you have a WordPress.com site, I will login to comment, so if I’m not logged in, it’s  a fake.

Some wonder why he does this…

All I can say is that having observed him for a few years now, I have noticed that he is a serial failure. All of those whom he attacks have made a success of their lives – look at the burgeoning business at Puddlecote towers, Grandad and Dioclese are both retired, but have enjoyed successful careers. While I went through failure in 2010, since then, I have rebuilt a successful business. That’s what successful people do; learn from failure and build on it, coming out stronger than before. DD, meanwhile, has failed repeatedly. Clearly there is an underlying resentment. But, also, there are clear sociopathic indicators, so yeah, it figures. A piece of shit, really; a childish bully; the detritus that we have to endure when we put ourselves out there on teh interwebs. We will survive.

If DD turns upon your blog, simply delete and ban. He has no right to freedom of speech on privately owned websites – especially given that it is nothing other than vandalism.

In the meantime, just keep an eye out for fake comments and take care y’all…

Update:

Okay, having now effectively prevented this arsehole from using the email address associated with this blog, he has switched to using throwaway email addresses. This is good, as it means that fake comments are that much easier to spot. Those of you with blogs where I comment will know what email address I use. If you see a comment that uses any other address, then it’s a fake. If  you have come here because I have left a comment over at yours that seems suspect, it is, because I haven’t left any comments anywhere much of late, certainly not on any new blogs. But you can always try to contact me on the email given. If you get an error, then it’s a fake.  Simple, really, eh?

  1. That looks just like me. After all, I’m an ignorant little troll with no life. So sorry I’m such an arsehole, but I can’t help it.

I’ve even taken up smoking to help with the stress.

  2. Actually, I failed several times. I was made redundant five times some of which no doubt for political reasons because I was seen as a rising threat to people above me.
One year, I got made redundant three times, each time getting at least three months money in lieu of notice. I earned more that year not working than working!
I also had the distinction of being fired twice by the same company – on the second occasion for trying to tell my boss I was leaving! They suspended me for three weeks whilst deciding what to do on full pay. During this period, I started my new job and got paid twice. When they did fire me, I got 6 months money in lieu of notice.

These considerable negotiating skills led to me starting my own business because I got sick of being told to bugger off!

12 years ago, my wife (the MD of my company) made me redundant. I got money in lieu of notice. All payments in lieu are, of course, tax free…

  3. What do you expect me to do? I’ve had more businesses closed down than you’ve had hot dinners, I have nothing else left in life except to irritate people I’m envious of. I know I’m old enough to know better by now but if I spent as much time working as I did trolling I might be a success, and what would be the point of that?
