Double Standards

When the Scots and Welsh demand devolution, that’s nationalism that is all fine and dandy. If the English seek to stop Scottish  MPs voting on stuff that doesn’t affect their constituencies, but adversely affects the English, who cannot vote them out, that’s racism.

Quite apart from the English and Scottish both being of Caucasian stock, and, therefore, the same race, so it cannot be racist, nationalism is fine if  you aren’t English. These people are so vile, there are no words to describe them. Yes, Wee Jimmie Krankie, go on, have a second referendum and then fuck off! Has it never occurred to you that south of the border, we are tiring of the constant anti-English whine. If we had been given a say in your last referendum, you’d probably have your independence already. Go on, piss off and don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

Sir Gerald Kaufman, Labour MP and Father of the House, told Mr Grayling the very idea of “English votes for English laws” was inherently “racist”…

And you can fuck off as well, you stupid prick. Of course it isn’t racist. The ideas being put forward may be flawed. They may not have been thought through properly, but the principle – solving the West Lothian Question – is right and proper. It needs fixing, one way or another. It is not, however, racist you ignorant fuckwit.

  1. “…south of the border, we are tiring of the constant anti-English whine. If we had been given a say in your last referendum, you’d probably have your independence already…”

Damned right. Behind you 100% on that.

  2. Yes, it’s ironic, isn’t it, that if the English-hating contingent of the Scottish population had deigned to ask for the referendum to be extended into England as well (they could easily have got round it and saved face by saying they wanted to include Scottish people living in England), they would have achieved a resounding “yes” in their darned referendum. They’d have their precious independence and we’d be shot of them!

  3. Sorely disappointed they didn’t sod off last time.

If this were a just land the English would be allowed a referendum to choose whether to continue to keep (literally) Scotland, cheerio would be music to the ears and our taxes.

If there’s ever an olympic event for bitching and whining little Krankie is the gold medalist.

  4. There is nothing that the Labour Party fears more than a split between England and Scotland. No Scotland, no Labour government.(What a lovely thought)

  5. Old Geezer, that was true up to the last election but surely not now? SNP have taken all the Labour seats. But it is a reminder that Labour really created this problem and injustice with devolution – the number of Scottish MPs at Westminster should have been drastically reduced but they weren’t. That’s the problem.

  6. Mike, the number of Scottish seats was not reduced because Labour could not afford to lose the MPs. The SNP is not a real threat to Labour, as it will nearly always vote with Labour, and if the numbers added up, they would install a minority Labour government. The real threat to Labour is the loss of Scotland, something actually facilitated by Blair in a short sighted attempt to spite the English. Blair’s stupidity will rebound on Labour. How nice.

  7. That’s what I have pointed out on other sites. The Scots and the English are mostly (having to qualify because of so many others amongst us) white European Caucasians, that is the same race. And that Kaufman is a stupid dick and simply wrong. Why does the left have such a problem with English nationalism? Is it because the English have never, ever been one of their client groups?
