Religious Fruitcakes

Barely had I the misfortune to be preached at by this imbecile, than some religious nutter has decided that the Bible has the answer to AIDS.

In a sermon titled “Aids: The Judgement of God”, Steven Anderson told the congregation of the Faithful Word Baptist Church in Tempe, Arizona, that the Bible advocates genocide of LGBT people.

I guess, being trans, that includes me. Oh, well, just as well I don’t believe in all their superstitious claptrap, so their rules don’t apply to me. While the vast majority of religious people keep it to themselves and are just fine, every so often, the nut-cases creep out of the closet and presume the effrontery to tell the rest of us how we should live our lives. The answer to which is; go fuck yourselves – preferably with the vile, violent book you use to justify your bigotry, misanthropy and authoritarian hatred. It was a long, bloody battle to get religion separated  from the state (and it isn’t fully done yet) but it was worth it because it means that these cretins are reduced to shouting loudly and cannot actually carry out their evil desires.

  1. The trouble is that the cretins you mention have morphed into left/liberal agitators and Joe Public is only too eager to listen to their whining.

  2. Oh, LR, they’re just ranting because their jealous of the other lot who have been gaily indulging themselves in killing anyone they don’t like on the basis that their Holy Book allows it. All religious zealots are, deep-down inside, just sociopathic bullies who are looking for some “excuse” to indulge themselves in attacking (and, if they feel strongly enough about it, killing) anyone that they personally don’t approve of. With all the bloodshed and murder going on in the name of all those other religions it was only a matter of time before the evangelical Christians started trying to get in on the act, using the same “excuse.” They’re jealous, see?

No matter that real Christians understand that one of the basic tenets of Christianity is to avoid killing and war and hurting each other just because they don’t “conform” sufficiently (parable of the Good Samaritan, anyone?), extremist religious freaks like this will always use religion as the shield for their despicable attitudes, just like anti-smokers and other extremist health nuts use made-up “science” as the shield for theirs.

Playground bullies, the lot of them.

  3. Yes I have also had the misfortune to be told the error of my ways by the IMBECILE. It’s funny if one quotes ‘his’ own Messiah about the error of ‘his’ ways he goes strangely silent.
