H’m …however, irrespective of your feelings towards the Royal Family, you must admit that 50p a week (or however much the monarchy is supposed to cost us all) is a fantastically low price to pay to prevent Cherie Blair from ever becoming First Lady. Personally I’d pay ten times that amount.

Actually, despite my republican tendencies, this wasn’t a royal story; it was a stupidity story. Anyone who believes banning something is the key to preventing people from doing it hasn’t been paying attention.
